Data Protection Act 1998

BFWG Charitable Foundation trading as FfWG is required by law to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.  It is the commitment of FfWG to ensure that members of the organisation comply with this Act to ensure the confidentiality of any personal data held by FfWG in whatever medium.

Grant Applications.  Most personal information is obtained from application forms received directly by the staff.  The data is held for the purposes of administrating grant applications and monitoring the academic success of grant beneficiaries.

In addition information is sometimes made available to other grant making organisations for the purpose of sharing information about grants that have been sought or awarded.

By signing the grant application form you consent to the processing of personal information unless you indicate otherwise on the application form in which case your application for a grant cannot be processed.  You should be aware that it is FfWG policy not generally to disclose such information. 

You should be aware that your personal information is held on a database for a period not exceeding three years.  If you have any queries you should contact initially the Grants Administrator.
