BRITISH FEDERATION OF WOMEN GRADUATES                                        

BFWG Charitable Foundation is the wholly owned subsidiary of the British Federation of Women Graduates.  The Federation promotes women's opportunities in Education and public life; it works as part of an international organisation to improve the lives of women.

Membership of the Federation is open to women graduates of all nationalities resident in Great Britain of every age and discipline.

Through the BFWG Coordinator for International Relations national exchange visits and introductions for members travelling or working abroad are made.

Membership of the BFWG gives automatic membership of two other groups: the International Federation of University Women (IFUW) and the University Women of Europe (UWE).

The BFWG has representation through IFUW which has consultative status to the United Nations and its specialised agencies UNESCO and UNICEF.

Through its affiliation with UWE the BFWG has membership of the European Women's Lobby and consultative status with the Council of Europe.

SYBIL CAMPBELL LIBRARY

The Collection, known as the Sybil Campbell Library contains some 8,000 items, including material relating to women's writing and history in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, women's education and their personal libraries, autobiography and women in wartime (including refugees) and more.

The Collection is housed at the University of Winchester University Library West Hill Winchester SO22 4NR
