Emergency Grants An
Emergency Grant is not a 'top up' award - all students are short of money.
You must show in your application how you had made provision for your living
expenses for the whole academic year. Emergency Grants are not available
for a shortfall in fees. The
Emergency Grant scheme is intended to help those women graduate students who are
faced with financial difficulties because of unforeseen and unexpected
circumstances beyond their control which might prevent the completion of their
year's work. Applications
will be considered twice a year: in March and November.
The next round of Emergency Grants will be considered in March 2009. The
closing date is The closing date for the November round of grants will be Wednesday 14 October 2009. Forms available from early August 2009.
HOW TO APPLY An
application
form for an Emergency Grant may be obtained by e-mail only from the Grants
Administrator at:- jean.c@blueyonder.co.uk
explaining the nature of the emergency. POINTS TO BE NOTED
If
you are successful you will be informed of the outcome of your application
approximately one month after the closing date You
can be assured that all applications meeting the stated criteria will be
considered sympathetically but remember that the Foundation's funds are limited
and not all who apply will receive a grant Please
be aware that if you are successful with your application form you will be
required to supply proof of identity before any payment will be made.
This can be one of the following:- Copy of
identity page of your Passport Copy of a
full EU/UK Driving Licence
Student
Card from a
